Vietnam’s First Mobile Nature Education Center
The Mobile Nature Center is the first mobile conservation education model in Vietnam and the first in the world to be developed on the platform of three modern interactive exhibition buses. It marks the beginning of a journey to bring nature and conservation stories closer to communities.
Visitors will have the opportunity to step into a vivid “wild world” through advanced technologies such as 3D models, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), interactive touchscreens, and various creative experiential activities. These features allow participants to explore nature in an engaging, intuitive, and emotionally impactful way.
Bringing Conservation Closer to Communities
The Mobile Nature Center is led by Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) in collaboration with the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Department, the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection, the Department of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity, and Viet Vision. The initiative aims to bring nature and wildlife conservation stories closer to the public through accessible, interactive, and educational experiences.
According to the organizers, the Mobile Nature Center will host a series of activities in densely populated areas, tourist destinations, schools, and communities surrounding key protected areas. These activities are designed to raise awareness of biodiversity conservation and contribute to the effective implementation of Plan No. 628/KH-BCA-BNN&MT on communication, prevention, and enforcement against violations related to wildlife and aquatic resource protection.
The establishment of the Mobile Nature Center responds to the alarming reality that illegal demand for wildlife products still exists while many species face the threat of extinction. Beyond serving as an interactive exhibition space, the center acts as a call to action, encouraging communities to participate in nature conservation, promote biodiversity awareness, reduce demand for illegal wildlife products, and support four practical actions: Refuse - Boycott - Speak Up - Report.
