At the same time, the events encourage the development of sports movements, nurture young talents, and elevate Ninh Binh’s position on the national map of tourism – culture – sports.

1. Mid-Autumn Festival at Thung Nham: “Back to Childhood – Sending Love”
The program themed “Back to Childhood – Sending Love” will feature a variety of special activities such as lion dance, puppet shows, mask dance, Mid-Autumn photo exhibition, making star lanterns, toy figurines, mooncakes, and more. Audiences will also enjoy impressive artistic performances with the participation of comedian Trung Ruoi and magician Phan Anh. This will be a radiant festive night full of love and childhood memories. The event will take place from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Cosmo Island – Thung Nham Ecotourism Area, Tay Hoa Lu Ward.

2. Joyful Mid-Autumn – Magical Light Festival 2025
The largest lantern parade in Ninh Binh will officially light up at Tam Chuc, bringing an unprecedented shimmering Mid-Autumn Festival with activities such as: giant lantern parade, more than 6,000 gifts for children, circus – magic shows – workshops – folk games, a floating lantern night of wishes on Luc Nhac Lake, and a spectacular art gala. The event will be held on October 3–4, 2025, at the International Convention Center, Tam Chuc Pagoda, Tam Chuc Ward.
3. Traditional Festival at Tran Temple
This festival commemorates the 725th death anniversary of Saint Tran, honoring the great contributions of national ancestors. It features solemn traditional rituals such as palanquin processions, incense offering, ceremonial rites, along with vibrant cultural and artistic activities: dragon, lion, unicorn dances, martial arts, wrestling, human chess, water puppetry, and folk games. This is an occasion for people and visitors to pay tribute to Vietnam’s heroic history while promoting the unique cultural values of Tran Temple – Thap Pagoda. The festival will take place from October 1–11, 2025 (the 10th – 20th of the 8th lunar month) at the Special National Relic Site Tran Temple – Thap Pagoda and Bao Loc Temple, Nam Dinh Ward.
4. Tran Thuong Temple Festival
The Tran Thuong Temple Festival is one of the province’s typical traditional festivals, closely associated with the great contributions of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan in the resistance wars against the Mongol invaders. Each year, the festival is solemnly held with the “distribution of rice” ritual, reenacting the ancient Tran food storehouse. It is an occasion for the people to remember the merits of the national hero while expressing wishes for abundant harvests and peace for the country. The festival will take place from October 7–11, 2025 (the 16th – 20th of the 8th lunar month) at Tran Thuong Temple, Tran Thuong Commune.
5. LI-NING Vietnam International Series 2025 (Badminton)
This international badminton tournament is held to provide the best opportunity for locals and fans to enjoy professional matches, thereby enhancing cultural and spiritual life, and promoting the widespread practice of badminton and sports in general across the province. The tournament will take place from October 21–26, 2025, at Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Hall, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoa Lu Ward.
6. National Indoor Volleyball Championship – Ca Mau Fertilizer Cup
This championship aims to improve the quality of competition and affirm the strong appeal of volleyball. It serves as a stage for top clubs and athletes to compete, showcase their skills, and gain experience. The tournament also helps discover and foster talents, preparing athletes for the national teams. At the same time, the event promotes the popularity of volleyball and attracts a large number of fans, contributing to the promotion of Vietnamese volleyball. The tournament will take place from October 7–16, 2025, at Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Hall, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoa Lu Ward.
7. The 26th National Junior Traditional Wrestling Championship
The 26th National Junior Traditional Wrestling Championship will be held to foster the practice and competition of sports in general and traditional wrestling in particular, especially among young generations, helping them strengthen their health while preserving and promoting the nation’s cultural and sporting traditions. The tournament will take place from October 2–11, 2025, at Dong A Square, Tran Temple – Thap Pagoda Relic Site, Tran Thua Street, Nam Dinh Ward.
