Trang An Landscape Complex

Trang An Landscape Complex of NinhBinh Province situated at the southern margin of Red River Delta, 90km far from the capital of Hanoi to the Southwest.

The landscape complex covers an area of 12,252ha with most of recognized historical relics, architectural and artistic as well as famous sceneries classified at provincial level (26 relics) and national level (20 relics) of which two special national relics are Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - the historical relic and architectural complex and Trang An - Tam Coc - Bich - famous landscapes.

Trang An Landscape Complex is blessed with special cultural-historical values including prominent values with unique scenery composed by a harmonious combination of river shape, mountain terrain, year-through wetland caves and unspoiled vegetation cover and animal inhabitant. The complex also preserves and hands down traditionally cultural-historical values through a system of particular relics and cultural festivals.

On 25th June 2014 at Doha (Qatar’s capital city), Trang An Landscape Complex was recognized as a Natural and Cultural World Heritage - The first mixed heritage of Vietnam and Southeast Asia by the UNESCO. The complex’ internationally prominent value is recognized by the World Heritage Committee based on three criteria including culture, artistic beauty and topography.
