Ninh Binh Department of Tourism Honored for Outstanding Local Marketing in 2025

Within the framework of the Vietnam Marketing Awards 2025, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism was honored to receive the “Excellent Place Marketing Award” from the Vietnam Marketing Association (VMA) and the event organizers. This prestigious national award recognizes outstanding creativity and effectiveness in marketing strategies, celebrating localities, organizations, and businesses that contribute to community value and promote sustainable socio-economic development.

The award is based on a rigorous set of criteria evaluated by the Vietnam Marketing Awards Council, including creativity and distinctiveness in marketing strategies; communication effectiveness and public reach; positive impact on destination branding; community value dissemination; and contributions to sustainable tourism development. The recognition affirms the strategic, methodical, and increasingly professional approach of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism in destination promotion and marketing.

Mr. Bui Van Manh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, received the award at the ceremony.

In recent years, Ninh Binh has implemented numerous innovative activities, events, and communication campaigns, leaving a strong impression on both domestic and international tourism maps. Among the most notable is the annual “Golden Tam Coc – Trang An Tourism Week,” which attracts large numbers of visitors and highlights the natural beauty and unique cultural–historical values of the Trang An Landscape Complex – a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site. Additionally, Forestival – Trang An Music & Creativity Festival has introduced a fresh approach to destination marketing by blending contemporary art, music, creativity, and heritage landscapes to create a distinctive visitor experience.

Notably, the “Heritage Heart” communication campaign, along with famtrip and presstrip programs for travel agencies, journalists, KOLs, and domestic and international media partners, has significantly boosted the visibility of Ninh Binh tourism in key markets. At the same time, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism has intensified cooperation with global media and travel platforms, deploying multi-channel and multi-platform promotional campaigns to enhance destination recognition and competitiveness.

Beyond traditional marketing, Ninh Binh is also among the leading localities in applying digital transformation to tourism promotion. Initiatives such as the “Ninhbinhtourisminfo” smart tourism app, QR code systems at attractions, interactive tourism kiosks, and public Wi-Fi for visitors not only provide timely and accurate information but also improve overall visitor experience, meeting the increasing expectations of travelers in the digital era.

The “Excellent Place/Destination Marketing Award” is a well-deserved recognition of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism’s continuous innovation and creativity in building, positioning, and promoting its destination brand. It also serves as a strong motivation for the local tourism sector to further leverage its strengths and implement more effective marketing strategies, aiming to make tourism a spearhead economic sector that contributes significantly to the province’s long-term socio-economic development.
