Ninh Binh's tourism enjoys strong growth in year-end months

Thanks to practical and effective solutions, Ninh Binh's tourism sector has revived strongly after the COVID-19 pandemic with increasing number of tourist arrivals. The province's tourism sector and trave companies have made efforts to renovate promotion programmes and diversify tourism products in a bid to draw more visitors in the year-end months.

Ninh Binh welcomed 335,200 visitors in November.

According to the Department of Tourism, effective tourism promotion programmes have helped attract more visitors to Ninh Binh in the recent time.

The tourim promotion centre has maintained its promotion programmes and support to visitors on its website in Vietnamese, English and French languages and social platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok and Twitter.

To meet visitors' demand, the department has applied digital technology to turn texts into voice (audio) and regularly posted video clips and slides to introduce local destinations; maintain tourism leaflet and brochures at some specific locations in the province and tourism leaflet racks in Ho Chi Minh City.

The sector has continued to step up  tourism promotion on electronic newspapers and digital platforms.

Besides, the sector has enhanced inspection of technical infrastructure, accommodation establishments and restaurants serving tourists in the province.

According to the department, Ninh Binh welcomed 335,200 visitors in November, including 9,000 foreigners. The province earned over 550 billion VND from tourism  in the month.

The province is expected to receive nearly 3.7 million tourists in 2022, 3.6-fold increase from last year and 47.6% higher than the yearly plan.

The sector's revenue is estimated to be 3.7 times higher than that of 2021.

Bui Van Manh, Director of the Department of Tourism, said in order to prepare for the upcoming "peak season", the department is continuing to inspect tourism business establishments to ensure social security and order, environmental hygiene, tourism civilization, technical infrastructure and services to serve tourists.

At the same time, it is stepping up tourism promotion on digital platforms such as Youtube, Tiktok and Facebook, and support firms to advertise their tourism potential on the sector's websites, leaflets and brochures.

It has regularly made video clips and taken photos of tourism activities for tourism promotion and build presentations about local destinations.
