The tourism week themed "Nho Quan - the flame of mountain and forest" will take place at Mac lake inside Cuc Phuong National Park and other sites of Cuc Phuong commune.

Hoang Khac Tiep, Chairman of the Nho Quan District People's Committee, who is also head of the organising committee, said the event aims to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Ninh Binh's appellation, 30 years of the province's re-establishment and the 160th anniversary of Nho Quan's appellation.

Numerous activities will be held, including the opening ceremony, sport activities, art performances, camping, folk games and a trade fair showcasing cultural and agricultural products and specialties of the district.

Tourists and local people will have the chance to join traditional folk games like crossbow, stilt walking, "con" throwing, and bamboo swings.

In addition, outdoor food stalls and booths will be set up to introduce local specialties, OCOP products, handicrafts and tourism products and services of Nho Quan and local companies. 

Cuc Phuong commune has been actively working with related sectors, branches, units and firms to carry out their assigned tasks.

Besides, the People's Committee of Cuc Phuong commune has worked with the district's public security force to ensure social and traffic order before, during and after the tourism week and culture-sport festival. 

The communication work for the week and festival has received due attention while the environmental sanitization has also been implemented.

The tourism week of Cuc Phuong and sport-culture festival of ethnic minorities will offer a chance for ethnic communities to meet each other, enhance mutual understanding and  tighten the great national unity bloc.

 The event is seen as an opportunity to introduce and promote cultural values and tourism potential in the mountainous district of Nho Quan, thus attracting more investors and building up it as a safe, friendly and attractive destination.
