Phuc Loc Carpentry Village is the oldest craft village of Ninh Binh province and has developed for hundreds of years as an indispensable part of serving the development of Buddhism in this land and the increase in demand for religious constructions.
The craft village currently has about 200 households engaged in carpentry, many of which have opened large-scale workshops, fully equipped with modern machinery and equipment, producing high-end products. Thanks to the creativity, harmony and sophistication between the patterns, the products of the craft village have reached far into markets such as: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh .etc. Traditionally, they produce traditional products such as tea cabinets, mahogany, worship statues, and all kinds of wooden furniture for worship, festivals, and repairing temples and shrines. They have also expanded their product range to include beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, sofas, doors, wooden stair handrails, and interior decoration items.
From a region surrounded by mountains and nature, a craft created by the traditional handicraft village in Ninh Bình has been passed down from generation to generation to preserve the intangible heritage.
