Heritage for Life – Discover the Traditional Craft Villages of Ninh Bình

In celebration of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 themed “The Golden Colors of Tam Coc – Trang An”, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism proudly presents a vibrant cultural event titled “Heritage for Life”, taking place from May 2nd to May 4th, 2025, at Dong Gung Bus Station Area – Tam Coc – Bich Dong Tourist Site.

This unique program aims to honor, preserve, and promote the rich heritage of traditional craft villages in Ninh Binh. More than just a cultural exhibition, it serves as a creative space for artisans to connect, share experiences, adapt to modern market trends, and proudly showcase their work to both domestic and international visitors.

The event also acts as a dynamic platform to promote traditional products and services, inspire young generations to inherit these crafts, and transform Ninh Binh's craft villages into iconic tourism attractions that thrive sustainably while preserving cultural values.

Experience the Spirit of Vietnamese Heritage

Highlights of the “Heritage for Life” program include:

Craft Village Exhibition & Marketplace
Opening at 9:00 AM on May 2nd, the exhibition features five immersive art zones, each representing iconic traditional crafts:

  • Kim Son rush weaving

  • Van Lam hand embroidery and lace

  • Bo Bat pottery

  • Tam Diep tea and Yellow Flower tea

  • Vietnamese silk and mulberry products from Ninh Binh, Bao Loc, and Thai Binh

Visitors can enjoy not only the displays but also shop for exquisite handmade products full of cultural soul.

Heritage Fashion Art Show
Taking place at 7:30 PM on May 2nd, this dazzling night blends fashion and tradition in a truly spectacular performance.
Featuring 10 top designers, talented artisans, acclaimed singers, national artists, and hundreds of models, dancers, and beauty queens, the show will unfold in a breathtaking setting with emotive yet vibrant music, creating an unforgettable night for all.

Craft Village Bicycle Parade
At 8:00 AM on May 3rd, 100 students and artisans in traditional attire will cycle through the streets with bicycles decorated with craft village products — a heartwarming, Instagram-worthy celebration of heritage in motion.

This event is more than a festival — it’s a cultural revival that breathes new life into traditional crafts, connects heritage with modern living, and opens up new paths for sustainable tourism development.
