Ninh Binh issues set of safety criteria in COVID-19 prevention and control for tourism activities

Local tourism sectors, agencies survey conditions of accommodation establishment to welcome visitors.
Director of the Department of Tourism Bui Van Manh said the set of criteria includes general and specific criteria applicable to those who take part in tourism activities in the province.
For the general criteria, tourists to Ninh Binh must get fully vaccinated, in which the second shot must be inoculated at least 14 days earlier, or recover from COVID-19 within six months or have a negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours before entering the province.
Ninh Binh will not receive visitors coming from provinces and cities classified as level-3 or level-4 pandemic areas. Tourists must strictly implement the 5K principle and regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.
As for travel companies, restaurants and accommodation establishments, they must ensure that 100 percent of their employees get fully vaccinated in which the second shot is injected at least 14 days ago, or recover from the disease within six months.
Labourers who have direct contact with visitors (receptionists, restaurant staff, tour guides, drivers, boatman…) must take regular COVID-19 tests every ten days.
Besides, tourism service establishments must implement regulations related to disinfection and COVID-19 prevention and control.
Tourism employees and visitors are requested to wear face masks while working and during their tours.
In addition, employees, visitors and goods deliverers are asked to have their body temperature checked frequently. They also are requested to use QR codes which show their vaccination and travel history.
Tourist sites must regularly popularise information about COVID-19 prevention and control measures as well as guiding tourists and employees how to protect their health under the guidance of the health sector and relevant agencies.
Travel companies must set up hotlines assign staff members to receive information related to visitors and get contact with local health agencies in a bid to call for help in case of emergency.
The set of criteria also requires tourism businesses to register and conduct a daily COVID-19 safety self-assessment at http://safe.tourism.com.vn to connect to the national COVID-19 system. In addition to the general criteria, it has defined a number of specific criteria set for accommodation establishments, tour operators, tourist sites, and tourism service facilities when open doors to visitors coming from other provinces and cities.
