Update: 17/05/2021
The beauty of the lotus flower has been affirmed and entered into the ancient verses. Lotus flowers spread everywhere in Vietnam. If you have the opportunity to travel to Ninh Binh, remember to visit the Mua Cave tourist area to drop into the fragrant lotus field and see the whole view of Tam Coc from above!

Hang Mua tourist area is about 10km from Ninh Binh city center along National Highway 1A. This is a tourist area in the territory of Khe Dau Ha village, Ninh Xuan commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. Mua Cave is located at the foot of Mua Mountain (also known as Ngoa Long Mountain).

At Hang Mua tourist area, there is also a lotus pond nearly 1ha wide. Every summer, lotus flowers bloom beautifully. The lotus pond has been said to be very special: The lotus flowers at Mua Cave bloom a lot and last until the end of the year, while the lotus in other places only lasts for about 1-2 months. This is the special thing that makes the tourist attraction of Hang Mua lotus pond. The lotus flowers with white and pink colors interwoven with the green of the leaves, the yellow of the pistil and the blue of the sky create a picture that is both colorful and has an unusually poetic look. The simple, rustic wooden path in the middle of the lotus pond leads visitors to stand in the midst of thousands of flowers, freely posing for pictures with the fragrant and beautiful lotus flowers. Not only that, the two sides of the lotus pond are on one side a ripe golden rice field, on the other side is Mua mountain peak with an ancient tower, which makes the scene here more majestic.

When coming to Hang Mua lotus pond, visitors should choose the time around June because this is the time when the lotus blooms and is the most fragrant. The best time to take pictures here is early in the morning, around 7-8am.
