On the evening of November 14, 2025, at Đinh Tiên Hoàng De Square (Hoa Lư Ward, Ninh Bình Province), the special art program “Van Cao – Duyen Hoi Ninh Binh” will officially take place, marking the 80th anniversary of the birth of the song Tiến Quân Ca and the 102nd birthday of the late composer Văn Cao- a gifted artist who left an enduring legacy in the history of modern Vietnamese music.

The event is organized by the Ninh Bình Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with the Vietnam Musicians’ Association, with the participation of Văn Cao’s family and a lineup of renowned artists and singers, including People’s Artist Quốc Hưng, Meritorious Artist Phương Nga, Võ Hạ Trâm, Phạm Thu Hà, Đông Hùng, Hồng Nhung (VOV), the group Dòng Thời Gian, along with artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, the Ninh Bình Traditional Arts Theatre, and the Kiên Quyết - VHz Strings Orchestra. The program’s artistic direction is led by musician Văn Thao, with MC Hoàng Trang as host.

With a central theme honoring the love for the homeland, the Vietnamese people, and Vietnamese music, “Van Cao – Duyen Hoi Ninh Binh”  promises to bring audiences an evening of profound emotion through the composer’s iconic works - from romantic melodies such as Suối Mơ and Thiên Thai to the heroic revolutionary songs Tiến Quân Ca and Trường Ca Sông Lô.

A highlight of the program is the presence of Văn Cao’s family, symbolizing a bridge between past and present, connecting the immortal musical heritage with the creative spirit of today’s generation of artists.

According to representatives of the Organizing Committee, the program is not only an artistic commemoration but also an opportunity for Ninh Bình to affirm its position as a land of cultural convergence—where music, history, and people blend harmoniously within a heritage space.

The art night “Văn Cao - Ninh Bình Harmony” honors one of the greatest names in Vietnamese music and expresses deep gratitude to the generations of artists who helped elevate the nation’s cultural identity. The event also serves as a meaningful activity toward Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), inspiring pride, patriotism, and the commitment to preserve the nation’s timeless artistic values.
