A conference was held on December 28 in Ninh Binh city to seek ways to boost tourism cooperation between Ninh Binh and some provinces in the Red River Delta and some other provinces and centrally-run cities.
Representatives of the 13 cities and provinces, tourism associations, travel agencies and businesses signed the minutes of tourism cooperation.
Attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu, leaders of the Departments of Tourism of 13 provinces and cities, scientists and experts.
Participants discussed advantages and difficulties in organising tourism linkages and cooperation and gave their ideas to develop the tourism sector of Ninh Binh in particular and the Red River Delta in general.
Numerous solutions were put forth such as planning, developing brand names, improving human resources, building new tourism products that have local unique cultural values.
The event aimed to evaluate the achievements in tourism cooperation in the region and offered a chance for participating cities and provinces to introduce and promote their tourism potential and cultural values, thus boosting opportunities to exploit inter-regional tourism products.
