Previously, Quat Lam Tourist Area was recognized as a provincial-level tourist area by the People's Committee of Nam Dinh Province under Decision No. 973/QĐ-UBND dated April 14, 2025. Following the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units pursuant to National Assembly Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15, this area now falls within the jurisdiction of the newly established Ninh Bình Province.

The renaming aims to ensure consistency between the tourism area's name and the current administrative unit, contributing to improved efficiency in state management of tourism, while supporting efforts to promote the destination's image during this new development phase.

Giao Ninh Commune Government bears responsibility for organizing the management, exploitation, and development of Giao Ninh Tourist Area in accordance with established regulations, with particular emphasis on protecting tourism resources, maintaining environmental hygiene, and ensuring security, order, and visitor safety. Additionally, the locality must create conditions for the local community to participate in tourism activities, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development.

Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, relevant departments and sectors, along with competent authorities, are responsible for coordinating, providing guidance, and supervising implementation to ensure that Giao Ninh Tourist Area is efficiently exploited and developed sustainably in the coming period.

With its scenic landscape and beach advantages for resort tourism activities, Giao Ninh Tourist Area is expected to continue serving as an attractive destination for Ninh Bình Province, contributing to the advancement of coastal tourism development and enhancing the province's tourism status during the 2026-2030 period.
