Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh) has a total area of more than 12,000 hectares, including: Trang An eco-tourism area, Hoa Lu ancient capital historical and cultural relic site, Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area and a part of Hoa Lu special-use forest. Meeting the outstanding global values of landscape, aesthetics, geology, geomorphology and habitation of prehistoric people, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex has been recognized by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage and World Nature in June 2014. This is also the first mixed World Heritage Site of Vietnam and Southeast Asia recognized by UNESCO.
