On January 16, 2026, at Ninh Binh Legend Hotel in Hoa Lu Ward, Ninh Binh Province, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism held a conference to review tourism activities in 2025 and outline key tasks for 2026.
Attending the conference were Nguyen Trung Khanh – Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism; Vu The Binh – Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association; Tran Song Tung – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism; leaders of the Ninh Binh Tourism Association; representatives of provincial departments and agencies; officials, civil servants and employees of the Department of Tourism; tourism service enterprises operating in the province; and journalists from Ninh Binh Newspaper, Ninh Binh Radio and Television Station, as well as resident press agencies in the locality.
At the conference, delegates listened to a report assessing tourism performance in 2025. Despite ongoing challenges, the Ninh Binh tourism sector made great efforts to implement comprehensive solutions and achieved many positive results. In 2025, total tourist arrivals were estimated at over 19.4 million, including more than 17.17 million domestic visitors and over 2.22 million international visitors. Total tourism revenue was estimated at more than VND 21,238 billion. Most key indicators recorded year-on-year growth, making an important contribution to the province’s socio-economic development.
In addition to outstanding results in visitor numbers and revenue, Ninh Binh continued to affirm its position on the national and international tourism map by receiving recognition and prestigious awards from many reputable global tourism organizations and publications. These titles and awards not only enhanced the image and brand of Ninh Binh tourism but also created strong spillover effects, attracting the attention of tourists and investors, and serving as motivation for the tourism sector to continue innovating and developing in a sustainable and professional manner.
The conference focused on discussing and identifying key tasks for the Ninh Binh tourism sector’s 2026 work program, emphasizing the renewal of content and methods of tourism promotion; the development of distinctive and sustainable tourism products; the strengthening of regional linkages; the promotion of digital transformation in tourism; the improvement of human resource quality; and the enhancement of the effectiveness of state management in tourism.
Delivering his directive remarks at the conference, Tran Song Tung – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee – acknowledged and praised the efforts and remarkable achievements of the Ninh Binh tourism sector in 2025. He requested the sector to continue maximizing the province’s potential and advantages, focus on renewing development thinking, improving the quality of tourism products and services, and strengthening promotion, regional cooperation and digital transformation, toward the goal of developing Ninh Binh tourism in a sustainable and professional manner, worthy of its status as a key national destination.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the development of Ninh Binh tourism in 2025 were commended and rewarded, creating motivation for successfully fulfilling tasks in 2026.
