From June 3 to June 11, 2025, Ninh Binh province is participating in the 2025 Vietnam Locality Promotion Program in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and the Kingdom of Belgium. The program is organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), in coordination with the Vietnamese embassies in these countries and the People's Committees of the provinces and cities of Ninh Binh, Hue, Phu Yen, Bac Lieu, Vinh Long, and Quang Binh. As part of the program, from June 3 to 4, 2025, the Ninh Binh delegation visited and worked in the Czech Republic.

During their time in the Czech Republic, the Ninh Binh delegation held meetings with the authorities of Karlovy Vary province and organized a seminar with Vietnamese businesses in the Czech Republic to promote tourism, attract investment, and strengthen bilateral cooperation.

At the working session with Karlovy Vary provincial leaders, the representative of the Ninh Binh delegation expressed delight at the continuously developing traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic—especially in 2025, as the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The delegation introduced the province's potential, strengths, and development orientation, highlighting areas of cooperation such as tourism development, green economy, education and training, trade, and investment.

Both sides discussed and proposed several specific areas of cooperation, including Karlovy Vary province assisting in the evaluation of hot mineral resources in Cuc Phuong and Kenh Ga according to European standards; cooperating in human resources training and expert exchanges in healthcare and tourism; and jointly promoting the culture and people of both localities to international visitors.

The delegation also had a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic. Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam shared insights on the Czech Republic's political and economic situation, as well as the lives of the Vietnamese community there. He emphasized that 2025 marks an important milestone with the elevation of the Vietnam–Czech Republic strategic partnership—highlighted by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit and the presence of local delegations in the Czech Republic.

Ninh Binh's visit is a concrete step in realizing the joint declaration between the two Prime Ministers, contributing to strengthening ties between localities in both countries. As part of the program, the Ninh Binh delegation participated in a seminar organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic in collaboration with business associations and Vietnamese communities in the Czech Republic and Europe. At the seminar, businesses shared their investment needs and expressed a desire for more favorable local policies to encourage overseas Vietnamese to invest back home.

The Ninh Binh delegation presented development potentials, opportunities, and its vision of building a creative city and a millennial heritage city. They also agreed to enhance information exchange and promote cooperation between domestic and Czech-based enterprises.

The Ninh Binh delegation's working trip to the Czech Republic not only helped boost tourism promotion efforts but also opened up new cooperation avenues in investment, trade, education, and technology—affirming the province's increasingly proactive and positive role in the process of international integration.
